Step Two: Meet With Our Foundation Pros!

Our Foundation Repair Specialist will give you a courtesy reminder the day before the appointment, and then call or text you when they are on their way. Upon arrival, you’ll show us the areas that are causing you concern.

Next, we’ll measure and draw the perimeter of your home while making note of any signs of foundation issues. Once complete, we’ll move inside your home and take elevation readings using a ZIPLEVEL® PRO-2000. These are accurate to 1/10th”.

With this information, our Professional will prepare a customized repair plan that meets your needs and budget. You’ll get a copy of the repair plan, the quote for the work and a sample copy of the warranty.  We can even discuss financing options!  If you’re ready, you can sign an agreement at that time, or you can hold onto it. Our quotes are good for up to 1 year!

Step Three: Schedule Your Repair

When you are ready to get your repair done, we’ll need 2 things from you:

  1. A Signed Agreement
  2. A Small Deposit

With these two things we can send your repair plan to a licensed Professional Engineer for review and then file for your permit.

We’ll give you your scheduled start date and the estimated duration for your job. Most repairs are done in 1-3 days.

Step Four: Complete Your Foundation Repair

A week before your repairs, we’ll call 8-1-1 to have your gas, electric, phone and internet lines marked.

We’ll call you the day before your start date for a final confirmation.

The repair crew will arrive between 8-9am each and every day of the repair process. On the first day, your Foundation Repair Foreman will walk you through the repair plan and answer any questions you may have. Then we’ll get started.

  • We’ll put down plywood to protect your yard.
  • We’ll take pictures of your landscaping and dig out any plants which need to be temporarily removed.
  • We’ll hand dig the holes needed for each pier location.  Concrete may need to be removed.
  • We’ll start driving the piers into the ground until they won’t go any further.
  • Each day we’ll clean up the job site before we leave.
  • Bushes will be replanted, concrete will be neatly patched, and the yard will be cleaned up.
  • When we’re done we’ll do a final walk through with you.

Final Step: After Your Repairs

After your repairs are complete, our office will get to work on issuing your final paperwork.

We will email you a copy of your warranty certificate as well as a final pier location diagram showing how deep each pier went and the hydraulic pressure reached for each pier at the depth of refusal.  We’ll also maintain a copy of these in your permanent records.

Keep in mind that you should wait 8-12 weeks after the repair before making any cosmetic repairs at your home.  This is because the framing of your home may continue to shift now that your foundation has been repaired.  Also, the dirt may settle in the areas where we were digging.  Simply call our office to schedule additional backfilling at no charge!

Foundation Repair FAQs

Yes, all our Dura Lock® Pilings are warrantied for the life of your home, and the warranty transfers to all future owners. Our warranty is a simple one-page document that doesn’t contain any fine print.

Our warranty is one of the few left out there in the industry that doesn’t contain language to void or cancel the warranty if the warranty isn’t transferred to the new owner within 30 days. In fact, our warranty is issued to the property address, not your name, so there is no need to transfer!  This warranty is backed by a company in business for over 45 years and with an A+ rating from the BBB.

Dura Pier began over three decades ago out of our father’s foundation repair business. His business began out of his father’s. We are proud to be the 3rd generation serving the Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Austin and San Antonio areas, and we are in the process of training the 4th generation. Over the last 45 years we’ve served over 45,000 homes, homes, businesses, restaurants and schools.

Dura Pier offers cost-effective options for budget friendly-options. Our team also offers financing solutions including 0% interest for 12 months with Enerbank!. Generally speaking, most jobs cost anywhere from $3500-8000. Our warranty guarantees our worry, so you won’t have to pay more down the road.

The best method has often been defined as the one that requires the least amount of maintenance. You don’t want a pier or piling system that needs re-adjustment every two or three years, leaving you with constant repair expenses inside your home. As you compare systems, keep in mind that our soil shrinks, swells and shifts with Texas’ ever-changing weather patterns. The best foundation repair method will be the one that has the best ability to resist moving with the soil.

The straighter the pilings are driven into the ground, the better the soil friction they will attain. The better the soil friction, the longer they will last.

Our Dura Lock® system is the only method that actually connects and tensions each and every concrete cylinder as they are driven into the ground. This allows proper alignment to be achieved and retained, allowing the optimum amount of “soil friction” possible to be attained.

Please review our Company Comparison Checklist and our contract. All the cleanup items pertaining to your job are written down.

Dura Pier invests significant time in training our employees to put your house back together again. This includes adjusting doors, seated concrete repairs, plywood lawn protection, re-stretching carpets, plastic protection, and more.

This feature at Dura Pier will save you thousands of dollars and headaches dealing with after-market cosmetic repair contractors.

Yes, we have $2 million in general liability, and all our workers are covered by Texas Workman’s Compensation Insurance. Certificates will be provided upon request.

Generally, we will not want to adjust old piers from a contractor that has gone out of business or voided your warranty.  More than likely they’ve gone out of business because the number of warranty claims that had received exceeded their ability or desire to honor those warranties, and that is likely because they didn’t do a proper job in the first place.  Many companies will void your warranty because they know their piers aren’t made to last like our Dura Lock pilings are.  In rare cases we’ll make an exception and adjust existing piers.  If we do that, we may also be able to offer you a warranty for those piers to replace the warranty another company voided or will no longer honor.
